"When I walk in the woods and come across a rocky outcropping with some lichens I am struck by the innate beauty and endless variations that exist in the patterns that emerge on these ancient rocks. In an odd way, I feel that I am preserving these works of art from the obscurity of a site where they may never be appreciated by humans, and instead, bringing them into a form and setting where they can be discovered by others for the beauty they express.

About Lichens: The lichens can be kept alive in your home to do the slow and steady work of digesting rock and turning it into soil, by occasionally misting them with rain water. Over the course of a few human generations, one will notice the transformation in this unique work of natural art. "

My hope is that your ability to see and appreciate these natural sculptures will lead to an awakened desire and ability to go out into nature and find the beauty that is so generously afforded all those who take the time to discover it.
