“The story of our forests transports from across the country through the art, and gathers here at TREES”
– Lynn Feasey, Director

TREES is a gallery of fine arts and crafts that tell the story of our forests. The story told will present the greater value of trees and forests to our society, our environment and our economy, through the works of artists and makers who gain their inspiration from our forests.

TREES Gallery was conceived by two people with a mutual passion for trees and our forests, and the desire to present ideas and values through art – particularly the work of those inspired by the very subject.

Owners Jeff Amos, a maker and photographer and Lynn Feasey, an experienced arts professional joined a complimentary set of skills to present TREES Gallery, which opened its doors June 17th, 2006.

The Space: Located in the centre of beautiful Mahone Bay, on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, the 500 sq ft, open air space, is part of “The Old Station”. The building, built in 1929 was originally a gas station and the gallery boasts the original glass garage door, which is wide open as often as possible, allowing the space to extend itself into the delightful garden.

"We hope to engage and delight visitors to the gallery and to our web site in the subject of our forests. As you will see, the work also carries the stories of the artists and makers; why they made what they did, why they care as they do, and what inspired them. Inside these stories, a greater value of trees and forests quietly becomes apparent."
